Ingrid was born in Willingboro, NJ, and moved to Texas when she was two years old.  Most of her formative years were spent in Houston, and then she spent her teens and early 20s in Austin.  She later moved to California, where she started a family. She has two children: Jude and Sadie. Due to the wildfires in California, she moved to Virginia to be closer to family.

She attended Santa Rosa Junior College and Butte College, earning her degree in Early Childhood Education. Ingrid is trained in Montessori for ages 0-3. She worked as a lead teacher at Our Savior Lutheran in Paradise, CA, and Castles Preschool in Chico, CA. She also brings eight years of experience as a professional nanny.

In her spare time, Ingrid loves the outdoors, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
