Jenna DeRemer is a native of Front Royal, Virginia, where she lives with her husband, her daughter, and her son. She received a B.A. in English and a Masters of Education with Specialization in Literacy from The University of Mary Washington. While working in Warren County Public Schools, she received additional training as a Reading Coach and Math Coach from Old Dominion University. Additionally, she has taken classes on dyslexia in the classroom, and autism awareness.

After staying at home with her young children, Jenna privately tutored local students before joining Mountain Laurel Montessori School. She gets the most joy when she sees children’s self-esteem and independent skills grow as they become fluent readers.

 In her free time, Jenna is passionate about reading and books, enjoys watercolor painting, is a rare disease advocate, and loves going on adventures both near and far.
